Podcast Ep. 1: Looks (w/ special guest Gabriel)

Hey guys.  My new podcast is on the way, so today I recorded my first bit of audio with my friend Gabriel.  Check it out and be sure to let me know what you think!  Enjoy....

  1. I liked it, and I'm looking forward to more.

So would that Cher stuff at the end be considered an example of female friendly role play? It was cool the way you both ran with it like it was for real even though it was obviously complete bullshit, but I'm not sure if it's something we should model or if you were just having fun on the podcast.

  2. Great question. I love to do this type of storytelling with a girl, and usually ill start with fact and work my way gradually towards utter bullshit until the girl is forced to call me out eventually. The idea is for her to not know where the true stuff ended and where the BS began. When she calls me on it, I'll usually smirk or laugh and say something like "what!?! It's true..." She'll get the idea I'm messing with her.

  3. Great podcast. I always thought Gabriel was even shorter from the way everyone plays up his overcoming the height issue- I'm 5'8 and it's a disadvantage, but far from crippling.

It sounds like his style falls under what the fashion bible would call pushing the limits, but I'm having a hard time picturing exactly how so. Is he blending stereotypes, or is it more what the book classifies as "speaking to an elite audience?"

    1. He's just off in his own world because the rules haven't applied to him for a long long time. Remember, he was one of my original mentors. He knows what works and chooses to break the rules because he wants to filter for only a very very specific type of girl who would understand what he's doing.

  4. The Val Kilmer movie you were thinking of is The Saint.

  5. Why am I not seeing any links to the podcast in the post? I'll open the page in another mobile browser to see if it shows up.

  6. You and Gabriel should take students to the cloth shops before taking them to the field training!
I am sure students who are not fat, dress nice and nice hair style one can have quick results.I think those guys are ready to take workshop students. For them workshop is the bang for buck!

Some needs to hit the gym first then ready to take any advice from reliable professional coach!

It's so right, it's not easy to create style ! How much money do you need for cloth, if someone asked for fashion advice?

  7. Hello Jake and thanks for all your great posts. Somewhere on your blog you talked about creating an abook about texting. How far are you with that? The crowd is waiting;)

You have done some great analysis of texting in the 30/30 club and in some examples here but I'd like the full ebook. I think I'm overgaming on the phone when I maybe should allow more normal conversation but I don't want it to get boring either so learning how to balance it would be great.
